Creating A Beautiful Bathroom

The bathroom is one of the most important rooms in your house. It’s where we go to repair our bodies both externally and internally. So why do we let the bathroom be an afterthought when it’s time for remodelling? I believe that bathrooms should be designed just as carefully in their layout as the kitchen or living room. By taking the time to create a beautiful bathroom, you’re creating a sanctuary in your home that will last long after the tile and paint have been forgotten. Let me share 3 things you should keep in your mind when you create a beautiful bathroom.

1. Uncluttering

First things first: get rid of all the clutter and organize everything according to function (e.g., toiletries under the sink). This way, when someone needs something, they can find it in seconds! And then there’s cleanliness: make sure your shower curtains are mould-free and don’t have any mildew on them. The same goes for towels—they should be fluffy, soft, and smell like lavender.

2. Lighting

Lighting is one of the most important parts of a bathroom, but it’s often overlooked. Bathrooms are naturally dark, so it can be easy to forget that you need to add some ambient lighting. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to do this without breaking the bank! Try adding sconces or pendants over mirrors or near sinks so there’s always some light where people need it most. You can even use those same fixtures as night lights! Next time you’re renovating your bathroom, think about how you can make it feel cosier by adding some ambient lighting. It’ll be worth it!

3. Decorating

And last but not least: decorating! Adding some plants around the room will help bring nature into an otherwise unnatural space while adding colour. A few plants are all you need to make a space feel more homey and welcoming, but if you’re looking for something more substantial than a couple of potted plants, consider decorating with succulents. These little plants are easy to care for, require little water or sunlight, and can be easily arranged in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

Conclusion

A beautiful bathroom can inspire you to get up in the morning, work in the evenings, or even just strip down and wash up half an hour before bed.
